Who We Are
UKGEA was formed in May 2021 to focus on the development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Ground Mounted Solar PV (SPV) throughout the UK, bringing together the considerable combined experience of the principals in this sector. Our Team have been heavily involved in the pre-construction and construction phases of renewable energy projects since 2010 and in particular to provide health and safety services and advice to those in the construction industry. In that time, they have emerged to become one of leading providers of health and safety and site management services to ground mounted solar PV and BESS projects, having been involved in the construction and maintenance of over 150 such projects, achieving a zero-accident rate statistic.
Members of our team are also hugely experienced in the development and investment of renewable energy projects and UKGEA is uniquely placed to develop and build renewable energy projects with a perspective that is not restricted to purely development, but from one that is inclusive of the financing, construction, safety and operational considerations from the outset.
The company is registered in Cornwall where two of our directors are based, another is based in the north west, and a fourth in the south east, giving a good overall geographical coverage.
We work closely with international Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) companies that have financed and built many of the BESS projects in the UK that are currently operational and who are interested in finding more high quality projects. They are typically involved from the early stages of the projects providing the initial designs. In addition, we have access to a number of financial investors who are also looking for BESS projects and looking to aggressively build their pipelines. UKGEA are focused on identifying and then developing projects to the stage where they are ready to build and will then bring in the EPC company and investors who will finance and build the project.
